MRT Phase 205 Construction: Traffic Adjustments in Central Jakarta

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Several road sections in Central Jakarta will be affected by traffic management measures during the installation of 150 kV High Voltage Cable Channels (SKTT) for the MRT Phase 205 project.

According to a post on the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub DKI Jakarta) Instagram account on Monday, 1 June 2026, the construction work is being carried out using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) method at several points, from control pits to joint pits on major roads.

Construction work is scheduled to be completed by 10 March 2026, with permanent joint connections until 5 June 2026.

Work is set to continue until 28 June 2026.

During the works, the road surface will be narrowed by approximately 2.5 metres.

The project is targeted for completion by 26 June 2026, resulting in a road narrowing of around 2.5 metres and an expanded northern pedestrian area.

The Jakarta Transportation Agency stated that during the works, the road width will be reduced by 2.5 to 4 metres, necessitating adjustments to lane markings and the installation of traffic barriers.
