MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta Fares Set at Rp 1 for Jakarta Anniversary Peak Celebration

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will implement a special fare of Rp 1 for MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, and Transjakarta services on 27-28 June 2026. The policy is intended to support public mobility for those attending the peak celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary at the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout area. Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, urged the public to utilise public transport to reach the event location, a measure deemed effective in reducing private vehicle congestion around the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout during the festivities. In addition to the Rp 1 fare for MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, and Transjakarta, Mikrotrans and Transjakarta Cares services, as well as free services for certain community groups, will remain available without charge. Several Transjakarta routes intersecting with the event location on Jalan MH Thamrin will also undergo operational adjustments between 15:00 and 22:00 WIB. Route 1 Blok M-Kota will be diverted via Corridor 13 and Corridor 9, Route 6B Ragunan-Balai Kota via Semanggi will be shortened to Semanggi, Route 9D Pasar Minggu-Tanah Abang will be diverted via Slipi, and Route 1B Stasiun Palmerah-Transport Hub Dukuh Atas will be shortened to Gerbang Pemuda. Meanwhile, Route 6A Ragunan-Balai Kota via Kuningan, 1N Tanah Abang-Blok M, and 1P Senen-Blok M will not operate from 05:00 to 15:00 WIB during the event. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will hold the peak celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary at the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout on 27-28 June 2026, an event expected to attract thousands of visitors from across the Greater Jakarta area. The Transportation Agency urged the public to prioritise public transport and follow the directions of officers to ensure smooth mobility during the celebration. To reach the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout area, the public can use MRT Jakarta via Bundaran HI and Dukuh Atas stations, operating from 05:00 to 24:00 WIB. Additionally, LRT Jabodebek is available via Dukuh Atas Station with service hours from 05:00 to 23:30 WIB, and KRL Jabodetabek via Sudirman and BNI City stations operates from 04:00 to 24:00 WIB.
