MRT Jakarta Ensures Safety on Senayan-ASEAN Station Route

PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has confirmed it is ensuring travel safety on the route between Senayan Mastercard Station and ASEAN Headquarters Station by continuously optimising the signalling system. This statement follows an incident where a train braked suddenly while travelling uphill towards ASEAN Headquarters Station some time ago. “The MRT Jakarta signalling system is equipped with various safety features designed to ensure every journey takes place safely,” said Rendy Primartantyo, Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), in Jakarta on Friday. Rendy stated that MRT Jakarta, together with relevant parties, is currently conducting thorough inspections, monitoring, and handling to ensure the signalling system can function optimally again on that section. Alongside these efforts, MRT Jakarta continues to optimise the system to improve service reliability and passenger comfort. “We understand that this condition may affect passenger comfort. Therefore, MRT Jakarta continues to strive to resolve the handling as quickly as possible and will convey further developments through official communication channels if there is any updated information,” he said. MRT Jakarta also apologised for the inconvenience experienced by passengers regarding MRT Jakarta travel on the Senayan Mastercard Station-ASEAN Headquarters Station route, both those conveyed through the Contact Centre and social media. “We appreciate the understanding and trust the public has in MRT Jakarta,” he added.
