MRT Jakarta Apologises for Sudden Stop, Commits to System Optimisation

MRT Jakarta has apologised after a train experienced a sudden stop on the track between Senayan Mastercard Station and ASEAN Headquarters Station. The operator stated that a comprehensive inspection is underway to ensure the signalling system can return to optimal function along the route.

“The MRT Jakarta signalling system is equipped with various safety features designed to ensure every journey operates safely,” explained Rendy Primartantyo, Head of the Corporate Secretary Division at PT MRT Jakarta. He added that the company is continuing to optimise the system to improve service reliability and passenger comfort.

Responding to customer feedback regarding the disruption, Rendy acknowledged the inconvenience caused. “We understand that this condition may affect the comfort of our customers’ journeys,” he said. The company is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and will provide further updates through official communication channels once more information is available.
