Jakarta, VIVA – Several MRT Jakarta stations experienced operational disruptions on Thursday, 9 April 2026, around 5:57 PM WIB.

PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has announced that an operational disruption occurred at several stations on Thursday, 9 April 2026, at 5:57 PM WIB,” stated Rendy Primartantyo, Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), in his statement on Thursday, 9 April 2026.

Rendy explained that the disruption was caused by a power supply issue from PT PLN. This resulted in several station facilities experiencing problems.

“This operational disruption was caused by a power supply issue from PLN’s side (CSW), which led to some station facilities, such as lighting, elevators, escalators, and several other facilities, experiencing disruptions. All elevated stations temporarily experienced blackout conditions, but they have now been successfully normalised,” he said.

He noted that MRT Jakarta has taken swift action to restore service conditions and coordinated with relevant parties to ensure operations run normally.

Currently, MRT field personnel are still monitoring the situation and ensuring that services continue to operate properly.

“We apologise for the inconvenience; the safety of MRT Jakarta passengers remains our top priority,” he concluded.
