MPR Speaker needs escort
MPR Speaker needs escort
From Republika
According to the Republka issue of Oct. 16, the speaker of the
People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) plans to visit Sumatra in
the near future to assess land issues. He seems to be trying to
fill the gap left by the President who is busy touring the world.
With the present condition of this country, the MPR speaker
might be in need of an escort for his personal safety. Who knows
if there will be people with bad intentions along the way.
In the 1960s, then U.S. president J. F. Kennedy, who was close
to his people, was killed in Dallas. I am making the above
suggestion because the MPR speaker does not like being escorted
as he thinks one's safety is in the hands of God.
