MPR Socialises Four National Pillars to PAUD Teachers

The Socialisation Body of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), in cooperation with the Central Board of Persatuan Islam Istri (Persistri), held a Community-Based Socialisation of the Four National Pillars. A total of 250 PAUD teachers from Persatuan Islam Istri across Bandung Raya, Garut, and Sumedang participated in the event from beginning to end.

The Community-Based Socialisation of the Four National Pillars was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI Socialisation Body, Muhammad Hoerudin Amin. In his remarks, Muhammad Hoerudin said that a nation uprooted from its fundamental values and ideology is a nation heading towards destruction. Therefore, even as foreign values continue to arrive, Pancasila as the foundation and ideology of the state, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia as the state constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as the form of the state, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika as the national motto must be consistently instilled in the younger generation.

“Because it is these values that have kept the diverse nation of Indonesia united, spared from the threats of division that continue to emerge in turn. And for as long as time, we will continue to safeguard, defend, and teach them to the younger generation, so that the Indonesia we love remains everlasting,” said Hoerudin in his statement on Sunday (16/8/2026).

Hoerudin made these remarks at the event held at Artotel Suites Aquila Bandung on Saturday (15/8).

The member of the PAN faction of the MPR for the West Java XI electoral district expressed hope that the PAUD teachers of Persatuan Islam Istri would be willing to teach the values of the MPR’s Four Pillars to children from an early age, starting with simple things such as maintaining cleanliness, helping one another, cooperating, and tolerance.

“If good values have become habits since childhood, then by the time they grow up, these values will have become ingrained as habits in daily life. So that without being asked, they will carry out these good values as a calling of the heart,” said Hoerudin Amin.

Earlier, the Chairwoman of the Central Board of Persatuan Islam Istri, Lia Yuliani, asked the PAUD teachers of Persatuan Islam Istri who participated in the Community-Based Socialisation of the Four National Pillars to become ambassadors of the four pillars. They must be actively involved in providing education on the four national pillars, which need to be actively instilled from an early age, encompassing the home environment, school, and community life.

“The sooner we introduce the four pillars to them, the greater our chances of success in instilling goodness in them. This means the sooner the better, before they become acquainted with other values out there,” she said.

Yuliani considered that the socialisation of the four pillars should ideally come from those closest to the children, prioritising the family environment, neighbours, and relatives.

“Those closest to them should be prioritised, so that when we begin to introduce these values to the wider community, our own families have already been practising them first,” she concluded.

Also present and speaking at the event were the Chairman of the Socialisation Body Abraham Liyanto, Deputy Chairman of the Socialisation Body Abidin Fikri, as well as members of the socialisation body, namely Chusnunia Chalim, Putih Sari, Sofyan Tanima, Inugraha, Furtasan Ali Yusuf, Zuhri M. Syazali, Evi Apita Maya, and Junaidi Aulya.
