MPR Secretariat General Maintains Unqualified Opinion, Strengthens Financial Governance
The Secretariat General of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (Setjen MPR RI) has again maintained an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) for the Ministry/Institution Financial Report (LKKL) for the 2025 Fiscal Year. The achievement was marked by the receipt of the Audit Results Report (LHP) from the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI). The LHP was handed over at an official event organised by the Directorate General of State Financial Audit (Ditjen PKN) VIII of BPK RI in the Auditorium of the Tower Building, 2nd Floor, BPK RI Office, Central Jakarta.
Representing Setjen MPR RI, Deputy for Administration Heri Herawan expressed appreciation to all ranks who have maintained financial governance in a transparent, accountable manner and in accordance with statutory regulations. “I give the highest appreciation to all Echelon II units and Work Units (Satker) who have carried out various activities in accordance with the provisions and prepared financial reports properly. Especially to the Heads of Work Units and Commitment Making Officials (PPK) who have worked together under the leadership of the Acting Secretary General of MPR RI, Siti Fauziah, so that the entire process ran well and we again obtained an Unqualified Opinion (WTP),” he said in a written statement on Wednesday (5/8/2026).
According to him, the success in maintaining the WTP opinion was also inseparable from the role of the Inspectorate of Setjen MPR RI as the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) which consistently carries out supervisory, mentoring, and guidance functions for all work units. On that occasion, Heri assessed that the procession of handing over the 2025 Fiscal Year LHP had different dynamics compared to previous years. He said the leadership of BPK RI gave appreciation to all ministries and institutions for their commitment to maintaining the quality of state financial reports amidst various challenges.
“The delivery of directives from the Chair and Vice Chair of BPK RI this year felt different. They gave appreciation to all ministries/institutions and their entities who were able to show a strong commitment in preparing financial reports. This is proof that in order to maintain the honour of the nation and state, all agencies are able to set aside various obstacles and still show their best performance,” he said. He emphasised that Setjen MPR RI will continue to follow up on all recommendations from the BPK RI audit results as part of efforts to strengthen good governance that is transparent, accountable, and has integrity.
This commitment, Heri continued, will be strengthened through coordination between all work units and the Inspectorate of Setjen MPR RI in monitoring and accelerating the completion of follow-up actions on audit recommendations. This step is expected to build a preventive supervisory culture while encouraging continuous governance improvements. “MPR RI will continue to pay serious attention to the completion of follow-up actions on audit results. In the financial report, there are still several recommendations that must be resolved. Therefore, we are committed to completing all follow-up actions on findings for the 2025 Fiscal Year and previous years in a timely manner,” he stressed.
Concluding his statement, he invited all ranks of Setjen MPR RI to continue maintaining the quality of state financial management in accordance with government accounting standards. “BPK has a standard that a good financial report is one prepared in accordance with statutory regulations and government accounting standards. We must continue to maintain this commitment so that the quality of financial governance is preserved and the Unqualified Opinion can be maintained in the years to come,” he concluded.
