The General Secretariat (Setjen) of the MPR RI has deactivated the jury panel and the master of ceremonies (MC) for the Smart Quiz Competition (LCC) on the Four Pillars of the MPR RI for 2026 at the West Kalimantan provincial level, due to the controversy surrounding scoring errors. The two jury members are Dyastasita Widya Budi and Indri Wahyuni, along with MC Shindy Lutfiana.

“Regarding the widespread media coverage on social media… concerning the assessment of a participant’s answer in one of the competition sessions, the organising committee from the General Secretariat of the MPR RI has deactivated the jury panel and MC for this LCC event,” stated the Setjen MPR RI in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday (12/5/2026).

The Setjen MPR RI has expressed apologies and acknowledged the negligence of the jury panel during the final round held in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Saturday (9/5/2026). This was because neither the jury nor the MC accepted a correct answer from the participants.

The MPR RI understands that educational and youth development activities, including the LCC on the four pillars, must uphold values of sportsmanship, objectivity, fairness, and a constructive learning spirit. Therefore, the MPR RI will conduct a thorough evaluation of the technical aspects of the competition.

This includes the scoring mechanism, the participant answer verification system, and the handling of objections in the competition. “So that future implementations can proceed even better, transparently, and accountably,” stated the MPR RI’s position.

In addition, the MPR RI has extended appreciation to all participants, accompanying teachers, local committees, and the public who continue to pay attention to national education and the implementation of the LCC on the Four Pillars. “Public input will serve as important evaluation material to maintain the quality of the activities and public trust in the inclusive, educational, and integrity-driven process of national learning.”

Previously, three senior high schools (SMA) competed in the final round of the LCC on the Four Pillars of the MPR RI at the West Kalimantan provincial level in Pontianak, namely SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak, SMA Negeri 1 Sambas, and SMA Negeri 1 Sanggau. Recently, the competition has been widely discussed on social media due to a scoring error during the buzzer round session.

Netizens have highlighted the jury’s response to participants’ objections. As witnessed from the competition video aired on the MPRGOID YouTube page, the scoring error stemmed from the question: “In selecting BPK members, the DPR is required to consider input from which institution?”

Team C from SMAN 1 Pontianak answered, “Members of the Financial Audit Agency are selected by the House of Representatives, taking into account the consideration of the Regional Representative Council and formalised by the President.”

The jury then deducted five points for Team C’s answer. The same question was then posed to the other team.

Team B from SMAN 2 Sambas then answered, “Members of the Financial Audit Agency are selected by the House of Representatives, taking into account the consideration of the Regional Representative Council and formalised by the President.”

The jury then declared Team B’s answer correct. “Yes, the essence of the answer is correct. Ten points,” said the jury member, Head of the Assessment Bureau of the Setjen MPR RI, Dyastasita WB.

Team C immediately lodged an objection to the jury’s assessment. “Jury panel, permission, earlier we answered the same as Team B. The same,” said the team representative.

In response, Dyastasita said, “Earlier, for Team C, yes, the consideration from the DPD was not there. It was the DPR earlier.”

“It was there,” replied the student from Team C.

“Earlier I said it like this, members of the Financial Audit Agency are selected by the House of Representatives, taking into account the consideration of the Regional Representative Council and formalised by the President,” she repeated the previous answer.
