Jakarta – MPR RI Chairman Ahmad Muzani has emphasised that the final of the MPR RI Quiz Competition (LCC) in West Kalimantan (Kalbar) will be repeated. The national-level competition will be rescheduled pending a decision as soon as possible.

“The Quiz Competition final at the West Kalimantan level will be repeated at a time that will be decided shortly,” Muzani told reporters at the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.

Muzani assured that the judges present for the quiz competition will be independent. Furthermore, MPR leaders will attend the final round.

“The judges for the Quiz Competition will be independent. The leaders of the People’s Consultative Assembly will directly oversee the competition from start to finish,” he said.

On the other hand, Muzani expressed his thanks to the public for conveying their views and dissatisfaction with the quiz competition.

He considered the criticisms and suggestions as positive input for all parties.

“We express our thanks and appreciation to the competition participants who exercised their right to freedom of speech, voiced their protests over their dissatisfaction, and we listen to that as a way to train them to be a good example of democracy,” he said.

Muzani emphasised that MPR RI will continue to evaluate all activities organised by the institution, including the quiz competition.

“We thank everyone who provided support in whatever way and language; we accept that as positive feedback to improve our future activities,” he concluded.

Previously, MPR RI apologised regarding the controversy over the 2026 MPR RI Four Pillars Quiz Competition (LCC) at the West Kalimantan Province level, which recently went viral.

The apology was posted on the official Instagram account @mprgoid on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

“MPR RI, through the MPR RI General Secretariat, conveys an apology for the negligence of the judging panel that caused the controversy related to the implementation of the MPR RI Four Pillars Quiz Competition (LCC) in West Kalimantan Province,” it stated.
