MPR Reviews Additional Sanctions Against LCC Four Pillars Judging Panel in West Kalimantan
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The General Secretariat of MPR RI is currently reviewing additional sanctions against the judging panel of the final round of the Four Pillars Quiz Competition (LCC) 2026 at the West Kalimantan provincial level, following the controversy over scoring errors.
It is known that MPR RI has imposed a deactivation sanction on the said judging panel from this year’s LCC Four Pillars activities.
“If there are other administrative sanctions, there are regulations and processes for them. That is currently in the stage,” said MPR RI Secretary General Siti Fauziah during a press conference at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
She explained that the secretariat will delve into the judges from within the MPR based on the applicable regulations from the State Civil Service Agency (BKN).
“Because we just communicated with the MPR leadership today, so we will look at the applicable rules from BKN. Are there elements that could be linked to the rules in BKN?” she said.
According to Siti, the judging panel for the rerun competition to be held in May will be taken from independent elements.
“We will take from government agencies and academics,” she said.
Meanwhile, regarding calls from the public for the relevant judging panel to issue a personal apology, Siti said that the MPR RI Secretariat has already conveyed an institutional apology in a written statement.
“That already represents the activity. Meaning, not personal anymore, but institutional, from the secretariat, directly apologising,” she said.
Previously, on Saturday (9/5), three senior high schools (SMA) competed in the final round of the LCC Four Pillars MPR RI at the West Kalimantan provincial level in Pontianak, namely SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak, SMA Negeri 1 Sambas, and SMA Negeri 1 Sanggau.
The competition became widely discussed on social media due to a scoring error during the buzzer question session.
Participants had raised objections to the judging panel’s decision. However, the response from the judging panel, namely the Head of the Assessment Bureau of the MPR RI Secretariat Dyastasita W.B. and the Head of the Secretariat Section of the MPR RI Socialisation Agency Indri Wahyuni, drew criticism from netizens.
As a corrective measure, MPR RI decided to rerun the competition by replacing the judging panel.
