MPR pushes Four Pillars quiz competition to reach more schools

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Member of the MPR RI Socialisation Body Nurwayah has assessed that the 2026 MPR RI Four Pillars Quiz Competition (LCC) is effective as a means of strengthening the national awareness of senior high school students and their equivalents from various provinces in Indonesia.

According to her, the Four Pillars LCC is not merely a competition arena, but also encourages the younger generation to understand and practise the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.

“This LCC is very good and must be continued. Our young people, especially senior high school students, are searching for their identity. With activities like this, they feel called upon and regarded as part of Indonesian citizens,” she said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Nurwayah said the activity provides space for students to be actively involved in the life of the nation and state, especially as participants are in an important phase of building character and national identity.

She also appreciated the participants’ ability to answer the material presented during the preliminary round of the final stage of the 2026 MPR RI Four Pillars LCC at the national level.

According to her, the students demonstrated mastery of national material as well as the ability to communicate well and confidently.

“Their knowledge is extraordinary. I greatly admire them because they understand and delve deeply into the meaning of MPR decrees, laws, nationality, and so on,” she said.

Nurwayah assessed that the quality of the participants’ answers shows that the Four Pillars LCC is not only a competition to find champions, but also a means of testing and expanding the national awareness of the younger generation.

In addition to appreciating the organisation of the LCC, she encouraged the competition to continue to be held sustainably with an increasingly broad range of participants so that more state and private schools can take part.

“All schools throughout Indonesia must be accommodated. All senior high schools, both private and state, should get the same opportunity. The registration period should indeed be made somewhat longer so that all schools can participate,” she said.

The final series of the 2026 MPR RI Four Pillars LCC at the national level was opened on Sunday (23/8).

The national-level competition was attended by 38 schools from all provinces in Indonesia after passing tiered selection from the district/city to provincial level.
