MPR Proposes Josepha Alexandra as Ambassador for 4-Pillar Quiz Competition

“Yes, there are suggestions and aspirations such as that, so we are listening and will convey them to the leadership of the Socialisation Body tomorrow,” said Abcandra during a press conference at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (18/5/2026).

Abcandra stated that the leadership of the MPR Socialisation Body, alongside the MPR General Secretariat, will travel to Pontianak on Tuesday (19/5). During this visit, they intend to present the proposal to Josepha.

“Tomorrow, the leadership of the Socialisation Body and the Secretariat will fly to Pontianak, and hopefully, Josepha will be involved, as this is an aspiration from colleagues who wish for her to become the LCC ambassador,” he said.

“The Secretariat will convey this proposal tomorrow; hopefully, it will be accepted,” he added.

When asked whether Josepha would be immediately inaugurated as the LCC ambassador, Abcandra emphasised that this remains an offer and is subject to her willingness.

“It is not an inauguration, but rather we will ask if the individual is willing. Furthermore, we will also address the other matters previously mentioned,” he added.

The MPR has decided not to repeat the final round of the MPR RI 4-Pillar Quiz Competition (LCC) for the West Kalimantan province level. This decision was reached after two finalist schools expressed their acceptance of the competition results.

Abraham stated that the MPR has received letters from SMAN 1 Pontianak and SMAN 1 Sambas regarding the controversy surrounding the competition final. He noted that both schools declined a request for a re-run.

“They both support the decision that there is no need for a re-run, and therefore, in today’s meeting with the full MPR leadership, we decided to follow what has been expressed by both schools,” said Abraham.
