MPR: President Prabowo Performs Eid Prayer in Aceh as a Show of Solidarity

Jakarta (ANTARA) - MPR RI Chairman Ahmad Muzani stated that President Prabowo Subianto performed Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah prayers in Aceh as a form of attention and solidarity towards residents of Sumatra affected by floods and landslides in 2025.

“The central government’s attention to this issue has been extraordinary from the start. President Prabowo’s determination to rebuild West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh back to their former glory has also been carried out well,” Muzani said after Eid prayers at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, on Saturday.

He hoped that on this Eid al-Fitr, the bonds of brotherhood, unity, and the relationships that have been well-established in national life would become even stronger. Additionally, the public could enjoy the benefits of that unity.

“Secondly, we hope and pray that the entire Indonesian nation is kept away from calamities, dangers, and all kinds of other disasters, so that we can all build a better future,” he said.

Indonesia’s 8th President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh, on Saturday morning, to perform Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah prayers together with disaster survivor residents in the area.

Based on ANTARA’s observations at the location, President Prabowo arrived at 7:20 WIB at Darussalam Mosque, located in the temporary housing complex for flood disaster survivors in Simpang Empat Village, Karang Baru Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency.

President Prabowo was at the mosque accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, and Foreign Minister Sugiono.
