MPR Member Describes LKBB-PB as Opportunity to Showcase Nationalism
MPR RI member Dinda Rembulan opened the 2026 Provincial Bangka Belitung Islands’ Baris Berbaris and Flag Hoisting Creative Competition (LKBB-PB) at Taman Merdeka Square in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung. The event’s opening was marked by a siren.
The LKBB-PB, a collaboration between the MPR RI, Purna Paskibraka Indonesia (PPI), and the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Education Office, featured 10 top schools from the province.
In addition to competing for the provincial title, the first-place winner will represent Bangka Belitung Islands in the national LKBB-PB held in Jakarta.
The 10 participating schools in the 2026 provincial LKBB-PB are SMKN 2 Pangkalpinang, SMAN 1 Namang, SMAN 1 Sungailiat, MAN 1 Pangkalpinang, SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang, SMAN 1 Kelapa, SMAN 1 Mendo Barat, SMKN 1 Tukak Sadai, SMAN 1 Koba, and SMAN 1 Air Gegas. The judging panel comprised representatives from PPI Bangka Belitung Islands, the police, and the military.
In her speech, Dinda expressed pride in attending the LKBB-PB event and being among the participants.
“I feel deeply honoured and proud to be here before these participants with such remarkable enthusiasm,” Dinda stated on Monday, 1 June 2026.
According to the MPR member from the DPD, the LKBB-PB is not merely a competition but a moment to showcase nationalism.
“This competition is not just about winning or losing; it is a platform to demonstrate our nationalism,” Dinda added.
Dinda praised the students for their determination and effort in the competition.
“Winning or losing is normal, but your presence here is the result of your will, desire, and struggle,” she said.
Participating in LKBB-PB requires days of rigorous training, consuming time, energy, and mental effort, Dinda continued.
“I highly appreciate your efforts,” she added.
Meanwhile, Bangka Belitung Islands Governor Dr (HC) Hidayat Arsani, represented by his staff for Human Resources and Community Affairs Dr Andri Nurtito, said the LKBB-PB holds profound meaning by fostering nationalism, discipline, unity, and love for the homeland among youth.
“Marching and flag-raising are not merely ceremonial activities but tools for character building, teaching responsibility, cooperation, obedience, and unity,” Hidayat stated.
Hidayat urged participants, as future nation-builders, to internalise Pancasila values, patriotism, and love for the country in every aspect of life.
“Use this event not just as a competition but as a means to strengthen camaraderie, enhance sportsmanship, and build resilient, principled youth,” he added.
“I hope LKBB-PB will produce disciplined, high-achieving youth with leadership qualities, ready to safeguard the nation,” he concluded.
The opening ceremony was attended by the governor represented by Dr Andri Nurtito; Pangkalpinang Mayor Prof Drs Saparudin; Acting MPR RI Secretary General Siti Fauziah; Bangka Belitung Provincial Police Chief represented by Gegana Commander Kompol David Charlie; Military Regional Command 045 Garuda Jaya represented by Colonel (Infantry) Agus Sulistyo; Provincial Education Office Head Saepul Bakhri; PPI Jakarta officials; judges; MPR RI Secretariat staff; and the 10 participating schools.
