MPR Leadership Visits Palace to Invite Prabowo to 14 August 2026 Annual Session

The leadership of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) visited the Presidential Palace complex in Central Jakarta on Monday, 3 August 2026. MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani was accompanied by several deputy speakers, including Bambang Wuryanto, Eddy Soeparno, Lestari Moerdijat, Rusdi Kirana, Hidayat Nur Wahid, and Abcandra Muhammad Akbar.

Muzani stated that the meeting with President Prabowo Subianto was part of a national silaturahmi (friendly gathering) conducted with various state institutions. He confirmed that the purpose of the visit was to invite the President to the MPR Annual Session scheduled for Friday, 14 August 2026.

He clarified that the visit was not related to the President’s agenda later in the day, which involved a meeting with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. Muzani added that the invitations for the annual session had also been extended to all former presidents and vice presidents, as well as the general chairpersons of political parties.
