MPR Leadership to Meet Prabowo and Party Leaders Ahead of Annual Session

The leadership of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) will continue its series of national engagements with various state institutions ahead of the 2026 MPR Annual Session. The plans include meetings with President Prabowo Subianto and the chairpersons of political parties.

This was conveyed by MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani following a meeting with Constitutional Court (MK) justices in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (8/7/2026). Muzani stated that the MPR leadership would also meet with the Supreme Court (MA) next week.

“After this, we will meet with the Supreme Court, perhaps next week,” Muzani said.

He added that all state institutions would be visited. “We will meet with all state institutions, including the President,” he stated.

“Then, of course, we will also send invitations, especially to former presidents, former vice presidents, and of course the chairpersons of political parties,” he added.

For context, the 2026 MPR Annual Session is scheduled to be held on Friday, 14 August 2026. During the Annual Session, President Prabowo is expected to deliver his political address.
