MPR Leadership Meets Prabowo at Palace

The leadership of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) met with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani and his deputies arrived to hand over an invitation to the MPR Annual Session on 14 August.

Based on observations on Monday (3/8/2026) at 14.45 WIB, the MPR leaders’ vehicles arrived at the palace pillars. The leaders in attendance were MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani, Deputy Chairmen Eddy Soeparno, Rusdi Kirana, Bambang Wuryanto, Hidayat Nur Wahid, Lestari Moerdijat, and Abcandra Muhammad Akbar Supratman.

They appeared uniformly dressed in batik shirts and proceeded to enter the palace grounds.

“Today the MPR leadership will meet with the President as part of a national gathering we are conducting with several state institutions, and our arrival today is to invite the President to the MPR Annual Session which is planned to be held on Friday, 14 August,” Muzani said upon arrival at the palace.

Muzani stated that the MPR had also invited former presidents and vice presidents to the Annual Session. Chairpersons of political parties have also been invited.

“We have invited all former presidents and vice presidents, including the chairpersons of political parties,” he said.
