MPR and Himpaudi Bangka Belitung conducted socialisation of the four national pillars for early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in the region.

“This socialisation is part of MPR’s routine programme for the nation’s children, particularly educators, as they shape the country’s golden generation from birth to age six,” said MPR member Zuhri M.Syazali in Pangkalpinang on Sunday.

He said PAUD teachers play a strategic role in instilling national values, including Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and Unity in Diversity.

He added these values are the glue of national unity that must be understood and applied in education.

“They must understand these values unite the nation and must continue to be socialised,” said Zuhri, who is also a DPD member from Bangka Belitung.

He praised Himpaudi Bangka Belitung for collaborating with MPR on the event.

The socialisation attracted around 200 PAUD teachers from across Bangka Island.

“We hope this collaboration continues to instil nationalist values in shaping children’s character toward Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.

He noted PAUD teachers not only impart knowledge but also instil etiquette, behaviour, and nationalist spirit in children.

“The four pillars are already integrated into daily teaching but need reinforcement to nurture children’s nationalism,” he said.

He urged regular socialisation sessions given thousands of PAUD teachers exist in Bangka Belitung, both formal and informal institutions.

“We hope such activities reach PAUD teachers across both Bangka and Belitung islands,” said Djuariningsih.
