Acting General Secretary of the MPR RI, Siti Fauziah, has emphasised that the MPR General Secretariat will implement restricted working hours starting from Monday (30/3). This policy is aimed at budget efficiency in the face of rising fuel prices and the impact of the conflict in the Middle East.

“Working hours are expected to end at 5:00 PM WIB as lighting in parts of the building will be turned off at 6:00 PM WIB,” stated Siti Fauziah in a written statement on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

The MPR General Secretariat, under Siti Fauziah—affectionately known as Titi—will also adopt a four-day work system. This policy follows directives from the MPR Chairman.

On Fridays, work-from-home (WFH) and work-from-anywhere (WFA) arrangements will be in place, with each section operating a duty roster of two personnel to ensure that the work of MPR leadership and members continues as usual.

“Even with WFA and WFH, every employee must report for duty if required. Sanctions will be imposed on employees who fail to perform their duties properly,” she added.

In addition, work programmes not related to MPR leadership and members will be frozen until further notice.

“All these measures are for efficiency without disrupting the effectiveness of the performance of the leadership, members, and the MPR General Secretariat,” said Siti Fauziah.
