The MPR RI is holding the selection for the Four Pillars MPR RI Smart Quiz Competition (LCC) 2026 at the provincial level in Jambi Province, in Jambi City. Nine Senior High Schools (SMA) from various second-level regions throughout Jambi Province are competing to secure one spot for the national level.
The nine schools are SMAN I Tebo, SMAN I Tanjung Jabung Barat, SMAN 7 Sarolangun, SMAN 3 Kota Jambi, SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh, SMAN 4 Sungai Penuh, SMAN 2 Kerinci, SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur, and SMAN 3 Bungo.
The opening ceremony of the LCC Four Pillars MPR RI 2026 at the Jambi provincial level was led by the Head of the Bureau (Kabiro) of Planning and Finance of the Secretary General (Setjen) of the MPR RI, Dra Triyatni. The opening was conducted by reciting the basmalah and followed by striking a gong.
In her speech, Triyatni expressed thanks to the Jambi Provincial Education Office (Disdik) for its cooperation with the MPR in carrying out the LCC Four Pillars MPR RI 2026 provincial selection. Thanks to this cooperation, Triyatni said the implementation of the LCC in Jambi Province, the Land of the Malays, ran smoothly.
According to Triyatni, education is the main foundation in regional and national development. Therefore, the younger generation must receive better education up to higher levels.
Because, Triyatni said, education will serve as provisions for students as the younger generation with great potential and strength in nation-building.
“Realising the potential possessed by the younger generation, the MPR has consistently held the LCC since 2007, and it is being organised again in 2025 after being paused due to COVID-19 from 2019-2024. The LCC is part of efforts to shape the nation’s character through a younger generation that is critical and ready to face the challenges of change through the cultivation of the MPR’s Four Pillars,” said Triyatni in her statement on Saturday (25/4/2026).
She explained that the MPR is striving to ensure that the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD NRI 1945), the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika are not just concepts that are understood, but also practised in daily actions.
This is realised by involving critical, intelligent students who have a sense of responsibility towards the state.
Furthermore, Triyatni stated that the LCC is not merely a competition to test how much knowledge one has. According to Triyatni, the MPR Four Pillars LCC is an activity with deep meaning and purpose.
Among them, it serves as a means to embed the noble values of the Four Pillars. In addition, the event is expected to spark a spirit of patriotism, nationalism, and love for the homeland among the younger generation.
“We believe that by understanding and practising Pancasila, you will become a younger generation with strong character, intelligence, and a Pancasila spirit,” Triyatni revealed.
On that occasion, Triyatni hoped that all participants could become agents of socialisation in their school and community environments. Moreover, they should use the LCC as a means of learning and strengthening brotherhood among the younger generation in Jambi Province.
“May this event give birth to a generation that is intelligent in mind, resilient in spirit, and characterised in attitude. Ready to guide Indonesia towards a brilliant future,” said Triyatni.
For information, the event was also attended by the Head of the Jambi Provincial Education Office, M Umar MY; the Head of the Treasury Section (Kabag) of the Planning and Finance Bureau of the Setjen MPR, Susan Andriyani; and the Head of the Secretariat of the Socialisation Board of the Conference and Community Bureau of the Setjen MPR, Indri Wahyuni.
