MPR Deputy Speaker Eddy Soeparno Mourns Passing of PAN Legislator HA Bakri

Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Eddy Soeparno has expressed his condolences over the passing of House of Representatives (DPR) member HA Bakri from the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction. Bakri, who served on Commission V representing the Jambi electoral district, died at Siloam Hospital. “Innailillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun. We extend our deepest condolences over the passing of our friend HA Bakri,” Eddy said on Wednesday (29/7/2026). Eddy stated that he knew Bakri as a person who was always willing to help others and remained consistent in his mandate as a people’s representative. “I can attest that he was a good person who was always ready to lend a hand to others. He was a figure who upheld his mandate and performed his duties to the best of his ability for his constituents in the region,” explained the PAN Deputy Chairman. Eddy added that Bakri was one of the party’s best cadres, with extensive experience both regionally and as a national figure. “The deceased was one of the National Mandate Party’s leading cadres, with numerous achievements and a long history of service to the party,” Eddy said. “We pray that he receives husnul khatimah, is granted the best place by Allah’s side, and that the family he leaves behind is given patience and fortitude,” he concluded.
