MPR Chairman Confident Free Nutritious Meal Programme Will Realise Golden Indonesia 2045

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) ahead of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence was held on Friday, 14 August 2026, at the Nusantara Building, Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.

MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani, in his introductory speech at the 2026 MPR Annual Session, stated that Pancasila is the greatest common ground ever achieved by the nation.

Commemorating the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, Muzani said that Indonesia has succeeded in building infrastructure, establishing educational centres, improving health services, developing industry, strengthening agriculture, enhancing welfare, and reducing poverty.

In the framework of improving the welfare of the Indonesian people, the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Programme serves as a manifestation of efforts to enhance the nation’s intellect towards Golden Indonesia 2045 and to build a healthy and high-quality Indonesia. Likewise, the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDMP) aim to realise democracy in economic life.

Furthermore, Ahmad Muzani affirmed Indonesia’s support for Palestine and called for world peace and an end to wars in any part of the world.
