MP Urges Public to Utilise Polri's 110 Service
Banjarmasin - A member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Endang Agustina, has urged the public to utilise the police 110 service so that this Polri innovation can optimally provide services to the community according to their needs in the field.
“This Polri innovation is very good; now it’s up to the public to utilise it optimally,” she said in Banjarmasin on Friday.
According to Endang, members of the public who use the Polri emergency call centre can also ascertain whether officers genuinely respond when contacted or not.
This can serve as input and evaluation material for Polri, for instance, if there is no proper response.
The representative from the Kalimantan Selatan II electoral district acknowledged that every Polri innovation is intended for good purposes.
However, it now depends on the personnel whether they have earnestly implemented the innovation created by the information technology-based system.
“In principle, we support Polri’s service innovations to maintain public order and security because a quick response is very much needed by the public when reporting crimes, accidents, or other security disturbances,” Endang emphasised.
It is known that the Polri 110 call centre is ready to serve the public 24 hours a day and can be accessed toll-free.
Officers will immediately respond quickly and forward reports to the nearest territorial units.
