MP: Trans-Sumatra Railway Plan an Effort to Strengthen Connectivity

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Danang Wicaksana Sulistlyo, a member of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), stated that President Prabowo Subianto’s plan to build a Trans-Sumatra railway network connecting Lampung Province to Aceh is a strategic step towards strengthening connectivity and increasing the efficiency of the national transport and logistics system.

He noted that an integrated railway network is believed to drive regional economic growth, smooth the distribution of goods, and provide broader access for the public. He described the plan as a grand vision worthy of support.
