MP: Government and TNI Must Regularly Evaluate Security of TNI Troops in Lebanon

JAKARTA - Member of DPR RI Commission I Amelia Anggraini considers the order from TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto for TNI peacekeeping troops in Lebanon to shelter in bunkers as an anticipatory step for tactical evacuation. According to her, this effort represents an indispensable form of preparedness. “In a dynamic and high-risk conflict situation, quick decisions based on threat mitigation are part of the operational standards that must be implemented,” said Amelia in a statement in Jakarta on Monday (6/4/2026). The safety of the troops, she said, must always be the priority above all other considerations, without diminishing Indonesia’s commitment as an active contributor to maintaining world peace. “We, our fellow countrymen and compatriots, strongly condemn every heinous act that destroys peace and causes the fall of our nation’s finest troops,” stated Prabowo in a post on his official Instagram account (@prabowo) on Saturday (4/4) night. He reaffirmed the rejection of every act that destroys peace and takes the lives of personnel on duty.
