MP Appreciates Women's Nation Party for Inviting 2,000 People to Plant Trees

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives M. Hasanuddin Wahid has expressed appreciation for the central board of Perempuan Bangsa, which invited 2,000 people in the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (KEK), Malang Regency, East Java, on Saturday, to plant trees in their respective areas. “I hope that women can continue to be the driving force for improving this earth. Not only for the family, but also for the nation,” said the man familiarly known as Cak Udin in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday. He views the presence of the Perempuan Bangsa central board as demonstrating love and willingness to position women as an important part of development, including in Malang Regency. Meanwhile, the Chair of the Health and Environment Division of the Perempuan Bangsa central board, Dimas Pahlawanita Damayanti, stated that the event inviting thousands of people aims to encourage them to plant trees in their surroundings. “Upon returning from here, each participant will receive one tree from the Perempuan Bangsa central board to be planted around their residence,” she said. This can serve as one form of women’s role in preserving the environment through concrete actions. “Who can start to make our world good again? One of them is us, these great and cool women,” she added.
