Mount Batur still active

DENPASAR, Bali: Mount Batur is still active since it first
emitted smoke two weeks ago, but officials say that everything is
under control.

Chief of the provincial Volcanology Section, Tulus, said the
mountain is still expelling sulfur and flame, but the height had
significantly reduced.

He said a seismograph installed in the area recorded
activities inside the crater, but no tremor is felt by the local
people, Antara reported. (par)
