Motorola Releases razr 60 Foldable Phone in Indonesia, Check the Specs
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Motorola has released the Motorola razr 60, claimed to be the world’s first foldable phone with gesture control features for video recording, in the Indonesian market.
“We are introducing the Motorola razr 60 in Indonesia, a blend of timeless design and 2024 innovation,” said Country Head of Motorola Indonesia, Bagus Prasetyo, in a press release in Jakarta, Thursday.
“This is not just nostalgia, but a significant leap in terms of performance and durability, with an attractive price offering without sacrificing quality, making this icon more affordable,” he said.
The Motorola razr 60 features a clamshell foldable phone design with curated Pantone colors.
The device, which the company claims is the first phone with Pantone Validated and Pantone SkinTone Validated certifications, is available in PANTONE Gibraltar Sea, PANTONE Spring Bud, and PANTONE Parfait Pink.
The Motorola razr 60 has a titanium-layered hinge that has passed SGS certification for more than 500,000 folds.
The phone’s floating hinge is claimed to provide a smoother folding experience with a minimal gap design.
The Motorola razr 60 also has an IP48 certificate for dust and water resistance. The phone’s external screen is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The phone’s main pOLED LTPO screen is 6.9 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, and HDR10+ support.
The device’s 3.6-inch external pOLED screen is claimed to be the largest in its class and is coated with Gorilla Glass Victus for added protection.
The external screen has a 90Hz refresh rate, brightness up to 1,700 nits, a resolution of 413 ppi, 10-bit color, and 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage.
Motorola highlights the camera innovations on the razr 60, including gesture-based video recording that allows users to record without touching the screen.
With Air Gesture, users can start a countdown using an open palm, pause with a clenched fist, and stop recording with a pointing gesture.
The Motorola razr 60’s audio support includes Dolby Atmos stereo speakers with Spatial Sound.
The camera is paired with a 13MP ultrawide lens that supports Macro Vision up to 2.5 cm.
In addition, there is a 32MP autofocus front camera with Quad Pixel technology for selfies.
The Motorola razr 60 is equipped with photography and videography features supported by artificial intelligence technology such as adaptive stabilization, scene-aware color tuning, Auto Smile Capture, and Auto Video Enhancement.
Users can also take advantage of Google Photos integration for AI-based editing, including object removal and image sharpening.
The Motorola razr 60 is said to be the first foldable phone to use the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset with on-device AI support.
The device has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, as well as RAM Boost 3.0, which allows for up to 8GB of dynamic RAM.
The Motorola razr 60 runs the Hello UI interface based on Android 16, with a guarantee of three years of operating system updates and up to four years of security updates.
On this device, Motorola includes support for 16 5G bands and WiFi 7 for connectivity.
Other standout features on the device include motoAI and Google Gemini integration, which can be accessed directly through the external screen.
This feature allows users to perform various tasks such as summarizing notifications, assisting with planning, and creating creative content without having to open the device.
In addition, Motorola presents a number of Flex View modes, including Camcorder Mode, Desk Mode, Tent Mode, Laptop Mode, and Mirror Mode, to support hands-free content recording and other activities.
The Motorola razr 60 is marketed at a price of IDR 10,999,000 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage during the launch period.
The phone is available on the Shopee e-commerce platform and the Digiplus retail network.
