Jakarta (ANTARA) - Motorola is preparing to launch its first Edge-series handset of 2026, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, whose specifications have begun to emerge through the latest marketing materials.

According to Gizmochina on Friday, based on leaked promotional materials in circulation, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, putting to rest earlier speculation suggesting the use of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. The device is said to come with 12GB of RAM as well as an 8GB variant.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will be available in five colour options: Blue Surf, Country Air, Orient Blue, Sporting Green, and Silhouette.

In terms of display, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is reported to feature a 6.78-inch quad-curved OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The handset also holds IP68 and IP69 certification for dust and water resistance, making it one of the mid-range options focused on durability.

Earlier leaks indicated the display has a peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. For the camera system, the phone is expected to carry a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA main sensor alongside a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

Its design follows the hallmark traits of Motorola's Edge line, including the signature rear camera module and a textured back panel inspired by nylon and linen materials. Despite being equipped with a large-capacity battery, the phone remains relatively slim, suggesting a focus on ergonomics.

On the power front, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is said to pack a 7,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support and will run the Android 16 operating system. The device is also rumoured to hold MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification in addition to its IP68 and IP69 ratings.
