Motorists Urged to Exercise Caution as Jasa Marga Addresses Damaged Road on Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is accelerating repairs to potholes on the Jakarta-Tangerang toll road at kilometre 13 heading towards Jakarta, specifically in the Karang Tengah area of Tangerang City, following numerous complaints from motorists who consider the road conditions dangerous.

The repairs are being carried out in phases to address pavement damage, partly caused by sustained heavy rainfall in recent weeks.

“Jasa Marga is conducting repairs in stages,” said Panji, Marketing Communication Department Head of Regional Jasamarga Metropolitan, when confirmed by Kompas.com on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

“The weather conditions and high rainfall continue to impact pavement deterioration,” he added.

Nevertheless, Jasa Marga assures that repairs will continue systematically at damaged road locations. Panji also conveyed an apology to road users regarding the suboptimal condition of the pavement.

“I wish to reiterate that Jasa Marga apologises to road users for the condition of the pavement that is yet to reach optimal standards, and we will continue repairs in phases,” he stated.

Motorists are urged to remain vigilant when traversing the toll road section and to monitor road conditions carefully to avoid risks of accidents or vehicle damage.
