Motorcyclist Killed After Being Struck by Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train in Kalideres, West Jakarta

A motorcyclist identified by the initial A (52) was killed after being struck by a Soekarno-Hatta Airport train. The victim died at the scene of the accident in the Kalideres area of West Jakarta.

“Motorcyclist A, riding a Honda motorcycle with registration plate B-3496-CLI, died at the scene. The body was subsequently evacuated to Tangerang Regency General Hospital,” said the Head of the Law Enforcement Unit of the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Joko Siswanto, on Monday (23/2/2026).

The fatal accident occurred at approximately 07:00 Western Indonesian Time on Monday morning, precisely on Jalan Warung Pojok heading northbound, near the Alas Tua railway crossing in Kalideres. The victim was a resident of Cipondoh, Tangerang City.

The victim’s motorcycle was struck by the Airport Express train travelling the Bandara–Manggarai route, with locomotive number KA 807A. The victim was hit by the airport train while attempting to cross the level crossing.

“As the Honda motorcycle with registration plate B-3496-CLI, ridden by A, was travelling along Jalan Warung Pojok from south to north, upon reaching the vicinity of the Alas Tua railway crossing in the Kalideres area of West Jakarta, it was struck by the Airport Express–Manggarai train,” he explained.

Police secured evidence consisting of one Honda motorcycle with registration plate B-3496-CLI and one Category C driving licence belonging to the victim.

Police have also conducted a crime scene investigation, secured evidence, sought witnesses, compiled a chronology of events, and prepared a police report.
