Motorcyclist in Bogor Injured After Hitting Car While Avoiding Potholed Road

A traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a minibus occurred on Jalan Raya Narogong, Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency, West Java. The motorcyclist sustained injuries as a result of the accident.

“One person was injured in the accident, the motorcyclist with the initials D,” said Plt Kanit Gakkum of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, Ipda Ares Rahman, on Tuesday (18/8/2026).

The incident took place on Tuesday (18/8) at approximately 03.30 WIB. Ares said the accident began when the victim was travelling from Cileungsi towards Bekasi.

“Upon arriving at the scene, he moved to the right side of the road to avoid a potholed section,” he said.

At the same time, the victim’s motorcycle collided with the front of a minibus. The minibus was travelling from Bekasi towards Cileungsi at that moment.

“The motorcycle struck the front left bumper of the minibus, which was moving from Bekasi towards Cileungsi, resulting in the traffic accident,” he stated.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries to his head and hands. The victim was then taken to hospital for medical treatment.
