Motorcyclist Hit During Overtaking Manoeuvre; Bogor Driver Flees

A traffic accident involving a minibus and a motorcycle occurred on Jalan Raya Narogong, Cileungsi district, Bogor, West Java. The motorcyclist was injured after being hit by the minibus.

“One person was injured in the accident: the rider of a Yamaha Aerox motorcycle, identified by the initials DHS,” said Bogor Police Traffic Unit law enforcement officer Ipda Ares Rahman on Saturday (17 October 2026).

Ares said the accident happened at around 1.27am. It began when the minibus was travelling from Bekasi towards Cileungsi.

“On reaching the scene, it moved to the right side of the road to overtake a lorry travelling ahead of it,” he said.

At the same time, the right side of the minibus struck the motorcycle, which was coming from the opposite direction.

Ares said the victim was injured and had to be taken to hospital. The minibus driver left the scene.

“The victim suffered injuries to the chest and face and was taken to Abdul Radjak Hospital. The minibus driver’s identity is unknown; the driver left the scene,” he said.
