Motorcyclist Dies After Failed Overtaking Attempt in Bekasi

A collision involving a motorcycle and a box truck occurred on Jalan Raya Fatahillah, West Cikarang district, Bekasi. The motorcyclist, identified by the initials MIM, died in the crash.

Bekasi Metro Police public relations head AKP Aliyani said the accident happened on Tuesday night (13 October). The victim was riding with a passenger, identified as AR.

“The motorcycle was travelling from west to east,” Aliyani said on Wednesday (14 October 2026).

At the scene, the victim tried to overtake a box truck ahead, Aliyani said, passing it on the left.

“The motorcycle then hit the concrete road divider and the rider fell to the right,” she said.

Aliyani said the victim then struck the truck’s left rear wheel. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

“The motorcyclist died at the scene. The body was taken to Sentra Medika Hospital, and the motorcycle was damaged,” she said.
