Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Stopped Truck Under a Bridge on UI Access Road, South Jakarta

A motorcyclist, identified as AN, 19, died following a crash under a bridge on Jalan Akses UI, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The accident was triggered when the rider’s concentration reportedly waned, causing him to collide with a truck that was stopped after a tyre blowout at the scene.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 5 March 2026 at around 02:30 WIB on Jalan Raya Srengseng Sawah, precisely beneath the bridge in the Jagakarsa area of South Jakarta. Initially, the victim was riding a Honda PCX with plate E-2490-JWE from west to east at the location.

“Upon reaching under the bridge, the rider is suspected to have been careless and inattentive,” said Kombes Mujiyanto, Head of Traffic Police at Metro Jaksel, in a statement on Thursday (5/3).

Because of a loss of concentration, the victim hit the Mitsubishi truck with plate B-9212-UPX, which was stationary as the driver checked a tyre. The rider died at the scene.

“Thus he collided with the rear of the Mitsubishi NRKB B-9212-UPX which was stationary because the driver was checking the tyre, and the PCX rider died at the scene,” he added.

As a result of the incident, the victim sustained injuries. He was transported to Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital in Depok but was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident (TKP).
