Motorcyclist Attacks Car Driver at Dalung Junction
A motorcyclist went on a rampage and punched the bonnet of a car at the Dalung traffic lights in North Kuta district, Badung regency, Bali, on Sunday (25 October 2026). The unidentified rider also pushed the car driver to the ground after an argument on the road.
The incident went viral on social media. Traffic was heavy and the uncontrolled disturbance caused chaos at the scene.
Information gathered indicates that the incident began when the victim, identified by the initials BEW, was driving with his wife, LTA, from Dalung south towards Gatot Subroto Road. Near the Dalung junction, the victim’s car allegedly sideswiped a motorbike travelling from the north. The rider’s identity is unknown.
“The perpetrator suddenly punched the front bonnet of the victim’s car. When questioned, he tried to attack again and pushed the victim to the ground,” Badung Police public relations officer Ipda Ni Nyoman Yuni Eltari said when contacted on Monday (26 October 2026).
After being pushed down and left unable to get up, the victim tried to fend off further blows from the perpetrator, who then fled. The victim and another person at the scene contacted the police to request emergency assistance.
“After receiving a report from a member of the public through the 110 hotline, the team immediately coordinated with the Safety Taksu Center to send an ambulance to take the victim to hospital and advised his wife to file an official report with the Integrated Police Service Centre [SPKT],” Yuni said.
North Kuta Police officers arrived at the scene at around 8pm local time to begin their response, while the victim received medical treatment from a Badung Health Office ambulance team. Police are now searching for the motorcyclist suspected of assaulting him.
