Motorcycle Thief Flees After Crime in Cianjur, Arrested in Bogor

Police have arrested a suspect in a motorcycle theft case in the Cianjur area of West Java. The perpetrator, who fled after the crime, was eventually caught in Cileungsi, Bogor.

“The Cileungsi Police Sector (Polsek) assisted in securing a theft suspect in the Cileungsi Police Sector jurisdiction,” said Cileungsi Police Sector Commander (Kapolsek) Kompol Edison in his statement on Sunday (15 March 2026).

The suspect, whose whereabouts were identified in the Cileungsi area, was arrested by police on Thursday (12 March).

“Upon discovering the suspect’s location in Cileungsi, officers moved quickly to help apprehend the perpetrator,” he said.

Following arrest, the suspect was handed over to Karang Tengah Police Sector, Cianjur Police Resort, for further legal processing.

“Inter-jurisdictional cooperation continues to be carried out to maintain public security and order, and to expedite the handling of criminal cases,” he concluded.
