Motorcycle Thief Arrested at Wedding Reception

The suspect was arrested by police on Saturday (16/05/2026) and subsequently taken to the Ibun Sector Police Station, Bandung Regency. “It is true that on Saturday, 16 May 2026, we secured the perpetrator of the motorcycle theft, known by the initial H, in collaboration with the Garut Regency Police,” stated the Chief of Ibun Sector Police, Inspector Deny Fourtjahjanto, as reported by detikJabar on Monday (18/05/2026).

The incident began when the victim, whose motorcycle was stolen by H, returned home from his activities. The victim parked the motorcycle in a garage in front of his house in Kampung Babakan Panyingkuran, Dukuh Village, Ibun District, Bandung Regency, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026. Following the theft, the victim reported the incident to the Ibun Sector Police. Officers immediately visited the victim’s house to conduct an investigation.

“We immediately conducted a crime scene investigation, interviewed witnesses on the ground, and reviewed CCTV footage,” he explained. Deny revealed that based on the CCTV footage, the investigation pointed towards H, a resident of the Samarang District, Garut Regency. Subsequently, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ibun Sector Police launched a search for the suspect’s whereabouts.
