Motorcycle Gang Destroys Local Shop in Indramayu After Failing to Find Rivals

The actions of a motorcycle gang that vandalised a shop in Sukaperna Village, Tukdana District, Indramayu Regency, have gone viral on social media. In response, the Rapid Reaction Unit (URC) of the Indramayu Police acted swiftly to hunt down the perpetrators.

Less than 24 hours after the incident occurred on Thursday (30/07/2026), police successfully detained five suspected perpetrators. The act of vandalism, which took place around 04:00 WIB, was captured on CCTV and circulated widely among the public. The footage shows a group of motorcyclists damaging a resident’s building.

Responding to the incident, the Indramayu Police Chief, AKBP Prianglant Prianggo PM, through the Head of Criminal Investigation, AKP Muchammad Arwin Bachar, emphasised that the authorities will take an uncompromising stance against street violence. “There is no place for motorcycle gangs in Indramayu Regency. Anyone who causes disorder and disturbs the peace of the community will be pursued and dealt with strictly in accordance with the law,” stated Arwin on Friday (31/07/2026).

Utilising CCTV footage and rapid investigation results, the Indramayu Police Rapid Reaction Unit conducted raids at several locations within the Tukdana District on Thursday (30/07/2026) at approximately 22:30 WIB. Officers apprehended five suspects, identified as GR (18), IF (17), JAF (21), KP (26), and AT (16).

From their possession, police seized several pieces of evidence, including three mobile phones, three-edged sickles (celurit), two heavy stones (corbek), and one black Honda Beat motorcycle. “Based on initial examinations, the suspects admitted to being members of a group known as Mamprang21Ganks,” he added.
