Motorcycle Crash on Purbaleunyi Toll Road: How Did It Happen?

Bandung Barat — A video showing a motorcycle accident on the Purbaleunyi Toll Road in Bandung Barat Regency, West Java, went viral on social media. Fortunately, the motorcyclist survived with minor injuries.

The traffic accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 26 May 2026, on the Purbaleunyi Toll Road at KM 123, Lane A (Bandung to Jakarta direction). Drivers were shocked to find a person and a damaged motorcycle lying on the road after being hit.

“We received a report of a traffic accident on the Purbaleunyi Toll Road at KM 123, Lane A. The accident involved a motorcycle and a truck,” said Head of the Law Enforcement Unit (Gakkum) of Cimahi Police Traffic Police, Ipda Nikmat Nugraha, when confirmed on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

He explained that the accident began when a D 5402 AAR automatic motorcycle came from Padalarang towards Bandung. The motorcyclist suddenly entered the Purbaleunyi Toll Road via the Padalarang Toll Gate, specifically at gate 11 on the left.

“The motorcyclist then proceeded on Lane 3 of Lane A, where a truck travelling in the same direction collided with the motorcycle,” Nugraha said.

The motorcyclist was thrown onto the road due to the truck’s impact. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, while police continue to investigate the incident.

“The victim, one person, has injuries and is receiving treatment. We are focusing on determining the cause of the accident, which is suspected to be due to the motorcyclist’s negligence in entering the toll road,” Nugraha said.
