Motorcycle and Mobile Phone Missing in Death of Woman Found in Depok
Depok — A motorcycle and mobile phone belonging to a 56-year-old woman identified as DH, who was discovered dead in Meruyung, Limo, Depok, have gone missing.
“The missing items belonging to the victim include one Suzuki Adres motorcycle, key and vehicle registration (STNK), and one mobile phone,” stated Cinere Police Station Chief Kompol Chairul Saleh when contacted on Monday, 9 March 2026.
DH was discovered in her son’s bedroom, covered by a pile of clothes and carpet.
The initial visit was intended to clean the victim’s home while it remained unoccupied. “When L first arrived accompanied by R, the front gate of the victim’s house was locked with a padlock from the outside. Since L did not have the key, R helped forcibly open the padlock,” explained Chairul.
After opening the padlock, they discovered that the house door was unlocked and the interior was in a state of disarray, including the bedroom which became the scene of the incident.
“The witnesses observed a pile of clothes on the floor, but at that time had no suspicions as they detected no unusual odour,” clarified Chairul.
Then, on Friday, 6 March 2026 around 23:00 West Indonesian Time, they returned to clean the kitchen area, living room, and bedrooms. Both witnesses slept in the living room overnight.
On Saturday morning, R intended to collect the pile of clothes from the floor into plastic bags, which had been observed since February 2026.
“When R lifted the carpet covering the pile of clothes, he observed a pair of human feet with visible bone structure and dried skin,” explained Chairul.
R immediately contacted the neighbourhood administrator and Cinere Police Station for further action.
Subsequently, a scattering of coffee powder was discovered near the victim’s body. Police are currently conducting interviews with witnesses and performing an autopsy at Kramat Jati Hospital.
