Motorbike force intensified

JAKARTA (JP): The City Military Command's Chief of Staff
Brig. Gen. Sutiyoso has said the activities of his motorbike
force are being intensified during the fasting month of Ramadhan
and the Idul Fitri holiday.

Sutiyoso said on Wednesday the intensification is aimed at
combating street criminals who also intensify their operations
during the season.

He said that the motorbike force will also secure residential
complexes as many houses are usually left empty during the Idul
Fitri holiday.

"I think the force is an effective back up to the police in
maintaining security in the city," he said.(yns)
