Motive of Unregistered Husband Who Killed Woman Found as Bones in Depok: Angry at Being Evicted from Home

Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan has been arrested for the murder of his unregistered wife, identified as DH (55), whose skeletal remains were found in Depok, West Java. Ahmad Ronny is suspected of killing DH in anger after they quarrelled, resulting in him being evicted from the house by the victim.

“He is already a suspect; the criminal charges will follow,” said Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Head Kombes Budi Hermanto on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

Budi stated that the suspect killed the victim because he felt angry after quarrelling and being evicted from the home. “They quarrelled, the suspect was evicted from the house and became angry,” he added.

The victim’s body, that of DH (55), was discovered at her residence on Jalan Damai Raya, Depok on Friday, 6 March. DH was found by her son, who had come to clean the house.

“According to witness statements, the purpose of coming to the victim’s house was to continue cleaning the victim’s house in the interior areas,” said Deputy Director of the Mobile Brigade of the Criminal Investigation Directorate, Metro Jaya Police, AKBP Resa Fiardi.

“When the witness began cleaning the bedroom, they were planning to put piles of clothes into plastic bags,” he added.

Upon lifting a carpet covering the pile of clothes, the witness suddenly saw a pair of human feet. At that point, the feet appeared to be skeletal remains with dried skin.

“The witness then reported to the Neighbourhood Chief, and the Neighbourhood Chief subsequently informed the Cinere Police Station,” he stated.
