Motive of PNS Teacher in Sumbawa Revealed After He Slashed Two Sisters, Leaving Them in a Critical Condition
Police have disclosed the motive of FRM alias Ping, a 40-year-old civil servant who works as a teacher in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), for slashing two women who are sisters with a parang. The incident began when the victims demanded repayment of a debt from FRM’s wife. ‘The initial issue was a quarrel between FRM’s wife and the victims over a debt,’ said IPDA Mulyawansyah, the public relations head of Sumbawa Police, when contacted. FRM’s wife Rahma reportedly owes tens of millions of rupiah to Bulaeng. However, Rahma refused to settle the debt when pressed by the victims. ‘An ongoing debt collection and a confrontation escalated this evening, and FRM lost his temper, resulting in him injuring the two women,’ he added. The two sisters, Bulaeng (43) and Cantika (40), were attacked in front of FRM’s house in Desa Labuan Kuris, Kecamatan Lape, Kabupaten Sumbawa, on Friday night. Bulaeng sustained a cut to the back; Cantika sustained a head laceration and both are receiving intensive care at Puskesmas Lape. The two remain in a serious condition. FRM was arrested by a joint police team from the Lape Police Sector and Sumbawa Police on Friday (22 May 2026) night. The alleged criminal act is being investigated as a case of assault with a weapon.
