Motis Lebaran 2026 Opens: Routes, How to Register, and Requirements to Join Free Motorcycle Mudik

The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation is once again organising the Free Motorcycle Mudik (Motis) programme for the Lebaran 2026 period. The Motis Lebaran 2026 programme is prepared as a safer alternative for people who typically travel long distances by motorcycle. As of Friday 6 March 2026 at 07:30 WIB, the Motis Lebaran 2026 quota remains available for various city destinations. “Motis is an annual programme we run twice, namely during Lebaran transportation and also Christmas and New Year. This programme is a reflection of the government’s presence because the number of motorbike mudikers each year is very large,” said Arif in Jakarta on Thursday 5 March 2026. Through the Motis programme, the public can ship motorcycles by rail, while vehicle owners travel on the passenger train for free. “For each motorcycle we provide two free tickets for passengers, and one infant may be added,” said Arif. If previously only two routes were available, namely the north and central, this year the government has added a southern route to accommodate the high interest in the programme.
