Mother's Heartfelt Message to Prada Arif Budi Sampurna, Victim of Fatal Assault in Tangerang

The mother of Prada Arif Budi Sampurna, an Indonesian Army soldier who died following an assault, has shared a poignant message after losing her son. Police have named seven suspects in the fatal attack, which occurred on Jalan Raya Pondok Hijau Golf in Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Sunday.

AKP Wira Graha Setiawan, Head of Criminal Investigation for the South Tangerang Police, stated that one suspect, identified by the initial H (21), is believed to be the main perpetrator who stabbed the victim. “The motive, as I mentioned earlier, stemmed from a dispute over a satay queue. The group of suspects and the victim argued loudly, leading to offence being taken and ultimately sparking the physical assault on the victim,” explained AKP Wira Graha Setiawan.

Following her son’s death, the young soldier’s mother expressed a touching message for him. Through a post on the TikTok account @mama_piara81, she conveyed a message to her friends and followers on social media. She thanked them for the prayers offered for her son while also apologising for his mistakes. “Al-Fatihah for mama’s child, Prada Arif Budi Sampurna,” wrote Budi’s mother on the TikTok account @mama_piara81. “Thank you to all of you who have prayed for Budi, sorry mama cannot reply to your DMs one by one, we sincerely apologise for any of Budi’s wrongdoings,” she continued.

She revealed that Budi was a son of immense value to the family. Budi’s mother hopes the legal process will proceed smoothly and thoroughly to deliver justice for her son. “My child was in the wrong, but he remains precious to us. Please continue to support Budi through the legal process, which must be completed so that Budi receives justice and rests in peace, and the family can find peace to continue living,” she wrote. Furthermore, the soldier’s mother also shared via TikTok Stories that she had sewn the insignia onto her son’s new uniform. “Hello, good boy. Mama has already sewn the insignia onto the new uniform. You promised you wanted to do a studio photo shoot again wearing matching uniforms with papa,” she said. Many netizens expressed their condolences in the comments section.
