Sepriana Paulina Mirpey, mother of Prada Lucky Chepril Saputra Namo, was examined as a witness by the Panel of Judges of the High Military Court III-12 Surabaya, East Java, in the appeal hearing filed by 22 defendants convicted of her son’s murder. The hearing was held virtually on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

“Yes, today’s hearing agenda involves the examination of Mama Epy (Sepriana Paulina Mirpey) conducted virtually in Surabaya,” said Prada Lucky’s family lawyer, Akhmad Bumi, to detikBali.

Akhmad explained that Sepriana was accompanied directly during the examination by the Witness and Victim Protection Institute (LPSK) of the Republic of Indonesia. According to him, the family observed and witnessed the proceedings virtually from the Military Court III-13 in Kupang.

“LPSK arrived yesterday. So the family witnessed the court proceedings from Military Court III-13 Kupang,” Akhmad clarified.

For context, the 22 defendants received different sentences across three separate cases. In case number 41-K/PM.III-15/AD/X/2025, 17 defendants were sentenced to 6–9 years imprisonment. Of these, 15 servicemen of the rank of Tamtama and Bintara received 6 years imprisonment with dismissal from service. Meanwhile, Second Lieutenant Made Juni Arta Dana and Second Lieutenant Achmad Thariq Al Qindi Singajuru were each sentenced to 9 years imprisonment with dismissal from service.

In case number 42-K/PM.III-15/AD/X/2025, four defendants—Corporal Ahmad Ahda, Corporal Emeliano De Araujo, Corporal Petrus Nong Brian Semi, and Corporal Aprianto Rede Radja—were each sentenced to 6 years and 6 months imprisonment with dismissal from service. This sentence was heavier than the prosecution’s recommendation of 6 years imprisonment.

In case number 40-K/PM.III-15/AD/X/2025, First Lieutenant Ahmad Faisal was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment with dismissal from service. This sentence was lighter than the prosecution’s demand of 12 years imprisonment.

Additionally, all defendants were ordered to pay restitution totalling Rp 1.6 billion, calculated according to LPSK guidelines. Of the 17 defendants in the first case, each was ordered to pay approximately Rp 32 million. The four defendants in the second case were each ordered to pay over Rp 136 million, whilst First Lieutenant Ahmad Faisal was ordered to pay over Rp 561 million. After hearing the verdict, the defendants, through their legal representatives, stated they would deliberate for seven days before deciding whether to file an appeal.
