Mother of Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan Passes Away

Bandung — The Bandung city government has expressed its condolences over the passing of Nani Rubiyani, the mother of Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan, who died on Tuesday 17 February at 22:58 Western Indonesian Time in Bogor.

Bandung City Secretary Iskandar Zulkarnain, representing the city government and the people of Bandung, conveyed deep condolences over the passing of Muhammad Farhan’s mother.

“Innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun. We, the extended family of the Bandung city government, express our deepest condolences over the passing of Ibu Nani Rubiyani, mother of the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan,” Iskandar said in a statement received in Bandung on Wednesday.

According to information received, the deceased was laid in repose at the family residence on Jalan Penggalang No. 1, Kompleks Pertanian Loji, Bogor.

The burial was planned for Wednesday at approximately 09:00 local time at the public cemetery in Kompleks Pertanian Loji, Bogor.

Iskandar also prayed that the Mayor of Bandung and the bereaved family would be granted fortitude and strength in facing their loss.

“We pray that the Mayor and the entire family are granted patience, fortitude and strength in facing this trial. May all of the deceased’s good deeds be accepted and become a light in her resting place,” he said.

The Bandung city government also invited all residents to pray for the deceased, that she may be granted the best place in the sight of God Almighty, and that the bereaved family be granted strength.
