South Tangerang — A 64-year-old woman identified as K was heard shouting for help before being overpowered by her biological son, I (36), who is suspected of assaulting her.
“The victim was heard shouting for help. The suspect then pressed on her neck with his foot and a chair to weaken her resistance,” said Pamulang Police Chief AKP Galuh Febri Saputra when contacted via WhatsApp on Monday (25 May 2026).
Before pressing the victim’s neck, the suspect first attacked her while she was asleep in her room. As a result, she fell off the bed, after which the suspect continued assaulting her.
The suspect then took a clothes iron and repeatedly struck the victim’s head and body until she was incapacitated. “The suspect used a clothes iron to repeatedly strike the victim’s head and body,” Galuh said.
After the incident, the suspect dragged the victim’s body into the room, placed it on the bed, and covered it with a blanket.
The incident was reported to police by local residents. Officers conducted a crime scene investigation and found multiple injuries on the victim’s body suspected to be from violence.
During the investigation, police interviewed several witnesses, including the suspect who lived with the victim. After initially providing inconsistent statements, the suspect eventually confessed to the crime.

The suspect faces multiple charges with a maximum prison sentence of seven years.
